    Aw your daughter looks so cute and happy to have daddy made leggings!!
    Just some tips for future serging as once you are in the know serging is AMAZING!
    Buy serging thread it is different than regular thread and this is likely why it keeps breaking on you.
    Learning how to disengage your knife is very handy in situations like when a thread has broken and you need to reserge without loosing fabric. Also look into stitch differential it should help with the waving. All of this should be covered in the manual that came with your machine. After 5+ years of avid serging I still reference my manual
