Just came across this, and was curious! So I had to watch! You make me laugh, watching your video! Cudo to you for learning to sew! I’m a seamstress, and been sewing for about 46yrs. (my mom taught me when I was 11).
    I have a question for you…
Do you always stand up and sew? 😉
By the way, your baby is beautiful and your leggings look wonderful!

      Sue,
Thanks SO MUCH for the kind words. I tried sitting down and sewing for the first video (I only sew on camera – part of the gig) and I didn’t like it. I felt I was leaning too much which made my back sore, and frankly, it didn’t look so great (fat guy sitting looks fatter). BTW, my leggings look OK on one leg. The ankle seam on the second is far worse than the first, but I’m happy with my first attempt. I plan on doing it without a pattern and more like the video I linked to next time.

I think you are a very courageous man. I too have been sewing since I was a young girl and now sew mainly with knits. If you are ever interested in trying some great beginner patterns for your daughter (who’s precious!) I’d highly recommend Brindille and Twig, Ellidactyl and or Duck Butt Designs.

P.s. the stretch stitch goes slow because it’s a triple stitch.
